Lanto: I live in a small, two room house with a bedroom and a dining room/kitchen. The walls are made from brick, there is aluminum on the roof and cement floors. I live here with my mother and my kid. We have electricity but I must get water from the public water pump twice a day.

Hello from Lanto Olga. In my family we eat three times a day and there is rice at each meal. I am always the one who cooks. Yesterday, for breakfast we ate rice with an omelet and for lunch we had rice with small peas and mangoes for dessert. For dinner it was the same thing as for lunch. My family's favorite food is pork with chicken sauce.

Hello, it's me Lanto. The illness that my family has most frequently is the flu or a cough. I think the reason for this is our climate is different because the environment has been destroyed. Regarding my favorite season, I prefer winter because it is the harvest time and there is lots of food and people have enough money. Not like at present which is the rainy period and everything does badly except agriculture.

Hello! It's Lanto; I wake up every mornig at 5am and take a shower, after my shower I get ready to go to the market and take things to sell. I eat breakfast at the market. I stay at the market all day and also eat lunch there. I get home at 6pm and make dinner which we then eat and I go to sleep early. Every day is like this, even Sunday.

Hello! It's me, Razafimaharo. I have only one child who goes to school but I don't think I will have any problems because I have been saving for this for a long time. I know that the cost of schooling has gone up very much compared to last year and the same for the cost of school supplies which are becoming more and more expensive, despite the efforts the government is making to help the parents a little. But the parents must buy these things because the children need them for their studies.

Hello! It's me, Razafimaharo. My work is progressing despite a lack of fruit at the moment because it is winter and there is not a lot of fruit here. For the vacation, my children are going to review in order to prepare for when school starts again. They will also play. For Independence Day, we did not have a big celebration. In the morning we went to the stadium to see the parade that the town had organized and then we had chicken for lunch. Although it was not a big celebration, still we had the feeling of celebrating.

Hello! It's me, Razafimaharo. The month of June is the month when there is the biggest celebration in the Betsileo region. The entire country wil celebrate - it is a bigger celebration than Christmas or the New Year because it is the time of the harvest and the people can spend their money from the harvest without worrying. Because of this celebration we take advantage by filling our pocket even more (laugh). We will celebrate as we usually do, by eating well and buying nice clothes for our children. But for me, I do not spend too much.
