Ravao Martine Razanajaza

Sewing business

Funded

My name is Ravao Martine Razanajaza and I am currently a teacher at the elementary school. I would like to start a business sewing clothes on the side. I have 6 children and I am married, and I want them all to have the chance to go to school through high school like I was able to.

For me, it is not at all easy because I have three children who are in university and it is always me who pays for their studies because their scholarship is very small. It is not even enough to buy a tenth of the things they need for their studies because they are in a private university. But if we want our children to have a good future, we must work hard and make the sacrifice. I am a parent who only thinks about my children and I want them to have a better future than I have so I am ready to pay any price so they will have that.

For the vacation, my children are going to help me with sales and preparing things to sell, as well as with household chores. On Independence Day, we did things we do not normally do - we ate different things and in the morning, we went to the stadium to watch the parade. After lunch all together, the children went to the festivities that the town had organized and watched the presentation of medals.

My business continues to go well up until this time, but after the national holiday, Independence Day, this is going to change because the people will begin to think about the next agricultural season. For me, this holiday is a very big celebration because it is a celebration for all the Malagasy people and it deserves to be celebrated - but not too much, because it is always necessary to think of the reimbursement when the holiday is over.

It has given me a lot of confidence that I have been able to earn profits and continue to grow my business. The training we received form the Masomboly team also has helped me to think about how to plan my finances and I am very appreciative of that as well. Thank you for your support!
